It’s hard to tell a story with one photo, and putting a few together is a real challenge. The aim of the workshops with Jacek Fota is to strengthen the skills in building a coherent narrative using a series of photos.
How are the workshops constructed?
The first stage is getting to know each other. We meet at the TIFF Center and during this time you will present your projects on which you work or ideas that you want to implement. Jacek will take a look at your photographs and give you instructions necessary for individual work for the next two weeks.
During this time you will have the opportunity to consult and discuss the progress of work with Jacek in remote mode (Skype).
The second stage is a weekend meeting in Wroclaw in #TIFFCenter. During this time we will get acquainted with the projects we have worked on intensively. Using their example, we will learn how to combine photos into coherent, though not always obvious stories, and give a specific narrative to photographic cycles.
